Welcome to Go Back For The Children

About Go Back For The Children:

The symbol of the umbrella represents all the different storms of life. The storms could be storms of peer pressure; storms of losing a loved one; or the pressure to commit an act just to feel a sense of belonging. The umbrella represents your safety and to let you know you should never feel alone. Even when the sun is out and everything seems fine, a storm is always gathering resources to bring cloudiness to your day. We represent the umbrella that will always be here for you; your safe haven, your shelter in the storm.

Our Mission:

Mom had a close walk with God; she was committed to prayer and reading God's Word. Mom never surrendered to situations she could not control. When the dark times approached, Mom prayed. When things got rough, Mom prayed. When there seemed to be a little light shining at the end of the tunnel, Mom prayed. She knew that if God brought her to it, He would bring her through it. She stood on His word; His Goodness and Mercy followed her all the days of her life.

She never lost faith in God; she knew God protected her. Mom often talked about her reoccurring dream, of a terrible storm that had such great strength and power; she barely made it to safety; escaping its destruction and devastation.

Just as she was feeling the sigh of relief, a heavenly voice said unto to her, "Go back for the children." For years I always thought this phrase meant Mom going back for "her" children, and I was resolved to believe this. Until Mom passed away in 1994, I hadn't reflected on the memories of her dreams for years. But one night as I was meditating and praying, I heard a voice say, "Go back for the children." At that moment it hit me, this command wasn’t just for Mom's children, but all of the children of God.

This is the reason for this project (website).

Daily Devotion

  • Daily Manna from the Net for Sunday, May 20, 2012 [Psalm 18:1-3]
For the director of music. Of David the servant of the LORD. He sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said: I love you, LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3 NIV Listen
